Firstly thank you so much for trusting me to teach your children these past two terms. It has been an absolute pleasure and I have enjoyed getting to know them all. 

Thank you kindly for the gifts you have sent my way in the past few days. 

Thank you also to Mrs Naomi and Mr Alan for their support in our classroom. 

I will be updating the Educa photos from our past few weeks in the next couple of days. A reminder to not share any pictures that are not specifically featuring JUST YOUR CHILD. Thanks so much. 

Below are two links to the photos from prizegiving and the reading log for summer holidays. REMEMBER: Reading to your child is just as important and can be recorded to be able to be in the prize draw. A hard copy will also be sent home today. Please check bags and put it somewhere safe like on your fridge.

  Week 2 Kia ora Whānau We hope you have enjoyed the long weekend! Thank you for continuing to follow the Covid Alert Level 2 procedures. Week 2 / T3

Kia Orana, this week is Cook Island Language Week. To celebrate this we are learning a prayer and some basic sayings in Cook Island Maori. Here is a video of the Pasifika leaders saying the prayer: We had such a great week last week and all students seem to be settling in well! I have been impressed at their willingness to try new things and their behaviour has been exemplary!! This week all of the classes are seeing Harold the giraffe in the Life Education truck. We are learning about our bodies and how to look after them. Week 5 - Online Learning Term 3 2021

  Kia Ora Kākano Whanau Welcome to a very different Week 5.  Please see information below on how to support your child’s learning whilst at home.   Parent Meeting: You will receive an email invitation to meet with me tomorrow.  This is an opportunity for parents to ask questions and for me to offer support as we head into online learning.  Please note this meeting will be for all parents to attend.  I will set up a time to meet with students later in the week. Educa All children have an Educa account.  Teachers will be sharing daily tasks for you to complete alongside your child.  This could include maths, early literacy activities, reading, writing, RE, physical challenges.  At the start of the week you will receive a Bingo Board which will give you some ideas on activities your child could complete.  If you do not have access to Educa already please email me janet@stmarysrotorua.school.nz Y ou can share what your child is getting up to with me via Educa.  Check out the link to find
